Vliv obnovy travních porostů na produkci a kvalitu píce a na rentabilitu u ekologicky hospodařícího podniku
Vysloužil, Jan
The diploma thesis evaluates the effects of different methods of grasslands renovation. Three variants were compared – original permanent grassland, renovation using commercial mixture and renovation with regional mixture, at two sites in the village of Štítná nad Vláří – Popov in the White Carpathians. The literary research is dedicated to the importance of grasslands and their restoration in accordance with the principles of ecological farming. Furthermore, the conditions of the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area are presented. The research part describes the results of the annual yield of dry fodder, the quality of the grassland according to the feed value and the representation of plant species. The stand renewed with the commercial mixture showed the highest yields (3.73 t/ha) and quality, with the regional mixture the effect of renewal was not evident. At the end, an economic evaluation of the renewal of the grassland is carried out using a contribution margin. It was minus 2093 CZK/ha for the given trial, the yield threshold was set at 4.7 t/ha. Restoration using a regional mixture was evaluated as too costly.
Plant biomass production on grasslands restored on former arable land
Křivská, Aneta ; Mudrák, Ondřej (advisor) ; Bitomský, Martin (referee)
The White Carpathian meadows are among the species richest plant communities in the world, yet a large area of them has been ploughed in the past. Despite the abandonment of intensive farming and the subsequent effort to restore the original species richness of the former arable land over the last 20 years, there are still differences between the meadows which were previously used for agricultural production and the well-preserved ancient reference meadows. To understand why this is so, it may be helpful to measure the dynamics of plant biomass production over the year and whether it differs between these two types of meadows. The research was conducted in three pairs of White Carpathian meadows on two dates - at the beginning of the growing season in May and right before mowing in June 2023. In all pairs of meadows, occurring in close proximity to each other, one of the meadows was restored after previous ploughing and the other was ancient. At each meadow, I have sampled aboveground biomass in five 40 × 40 cm plots and sorted it into functional groups (graminoids, legumes, and forbs - i.e. non-leguminous dicots) and into dead biomass, dried and weighed. In average, more biomass tended to occur in the restored meadows, but this difference was formed mainly by dead biomass, which was more abundant...
Pasportizace naučných stezek v CHKO Bílé Karpaty
Nováková, Zuzana
Bachelor thesis is about nature trails in The White Carpathians. These nature trails are often used by many tourists. It is necessary to monitor the state of these trails. The most important part is field investigation. Seven nature trails was rate by the state of information boards and waymarking. One of the outputs is comparison of 2008 and 2018. In conclusion there are repair recommendations and own proposals to make the state of nature trails better. The main problem of nature trails in The White Carpathiens is the deterioration in the state of information boards. Information boards lose their meaning because of these damages.
Dynamic of the plant establishment in the experimental seeding into the grasslands restored on the former arable land
Šťástková, Eva ; Mudrák, Ondřej (advisor) ; Konečná, Marie (referee)
Grasslands of White Carpathians belong to the most diverse grasslands of the world, but despite this their large area was plowed in the past. During the last two decades one of the biggest ecological restoration projects in the Central Europe is there ongoing, which aims to restore arable fields back into species rich grasslands. As even a relatively species rich regional seed mixture cannot include the original grassland diversity, grasslands are dependent on spontaneous colonization species after initial sowing. Species, however, face the considerably altered environment, different to preserved reference grasslands. The question is, to what extent can be the colonization of grasslands successful. Eventually, if it is possible to sow them into species poor restored grassland and enforce the formation of a more diverse grassland community. This bachelor thesis experimentally compared establishment (number of individuals during the growing season 2021) of 10 grassland species in sowings on three restored grasslands (old 20 years since restoration) and on three reference grasslands, which were in their proximity and served as reference ecosystem. Sowing was conducted in autumn 2020 into the disturbed and undisturbed microsites 20 × 20 cm. All species successfully established at least in some number...
Interakce herbivorního hmyzu a poloparazitických rostlin na druhově bohatých loukách Bílých Karpat
HOUSKA TAHADLOVÁ, Markéta
Insect, soil and vegetation sampling was carried out to determine processes driving insect and plant diversity in species rich grasslands in the White Carpathian Mountains Protected Landscape Area in the Czech Republic. At the same time, the occurence specialized insects was detected for Melampyrum nemorosum and Rhinanthus spp. (Orobanchaceae).
Krajina v pohraničí a její specifika
Vacula, Roman
This bachelor thesis deals with issues of development of soil utilization in Czech and Slovak borderland in The White Carpathians region. It was compiled in form of literature review and a comparative method was used. The thesis describes natural conditions in The White Carpathians which affect characteristics and specifics of the region. The first part concisely describes a development of arable ground in region of Moravské Kopanice and in region of Červený Kameň which has significantly changed since the first half of the nineteenth century. The second part elaborates cadastral territory of Starý Hrozenkov and Červený Kameň in terms of a change of soil use in time. The last third part summarizes the survey results which shows that the soil matrix of cadastral territory of Starý Hrozenkov used to be a permanent grassland but currently it is wood. As a result of the agricultural policy the arable land in the studies villages nearly ceased to exist.
Does it differ the germinability of the chosen orchids on the natural and renewed meadows?
SUCHÁČEK, Pavel
The survey presented in this thesis focused on germination of six orchid species in the Protected landscape area White Carpathians; specifically Platanthera bifolia, Neottia ovata, Anacamptis pyramidalis, Gymnadenia conopsea subsp. conopsea, Traunsteinera globosa, Orchis militaris on restored medows of various age. As the control, two National Protected Areas (Zahrady pod Hájem and Čertoryje) were used. The initial stage of germination was detected on both restored and control meadows. The advanced stage of germination (protocorm) was recorded in three species (GC, NO, PB) on restored meadows, and in all species on kontrol meadows. The other aim of the thesis was to determine via molecular methods, which species of mycorrhizal fungi are associated with the model orchid species.
Dřeviny v lidové slovesnosti, obyčejích, zvycích a pojmenování oblasti Bílých Karpat
Pavelková, Eva
Bachelor thesis deals with the issue of trees in folklore, customs, habits and naming the White Carpathians. The first part focuses on the characteristics of natural, historical and ethnographic conditions of the area, which shaped the current state of the region. The second part brings near folklore and dialect, memorial trees with an interesting history, celebrations and traditions associated with trees of this area, then it is possible to get acquainted with folk literature and folklore of Moravian Kopanice in connection with trees, with various folk names and naming fruit species. The literary sources show that the most popular trees in folklore and customs were cultivated fruit species, oak, maple, hawthorn and dog rose. In some parts of the region is different folk naming. In conclusion, founded historical practices were compared with the current maintenance of traditions and than compared with a possible reflection of folklore to a garden landscape design.
Restoration of meadows on arable land in a landscape context
KOTTOVÁ, Šárka
This thesis presents a grant request for a project which concerns methods of meadow restoration on arable land and meadow restoration on arable land in a landscape context. The project is based on the model example of CHKO Bílé Karpaty.
